Difference in the same pic

Question

Hi,

I just noticed something.  I was posting a test pic as a WIP of the Treasure Chest I am wrapping up, just to see how it looks online as I found the pics online look a tad different and really shows the flaws way better than my monitors, lol.

Below is a side by side snapshot of the same pic; the one on the left is the one posted online and the other is on my monitor. Even this snapshot tones the difference down a bit from what I see but as you can see the one on the left is a bit more red in overall hue.

I just found it interesting, not complaining, just wondered if anyone else has noticed this? I've been tweaking the pic here and there wondering why the pic didn't look like what I made, lol. A side note, I'm a little disappointed in how mine turned out. I deviated a bit on the painting and don't care for the results. ,

The Treasure Chest course has  been a great course and learned a lot and will have to revisit it again  but definitely has some good workflow approaches I'll incorporate and keep practicing.

See if this lessons points you in the right direction in understanding what happens since it's a convoluted process and it's better digested in the lesson:

    Thanks Omar,

On further investigation I found it to be a compositor addon layer that was turned off but some how shows up turned on inwhen posting online here but does not show in the saved render. I just posted pics on my project (WIP) and they don't have that darkness due to deleting that layer and then re-rendering the pics.  Strange and interesting, somethiong I need to remember.

Thanks  again, I'll check out the link.

Yeah, I coincidently have been viewing the fundamental courses and have been going through that link as I was going through the treasure chest lessons.. The texture painting I did wasn't well done and led to dark areas which I'm not happy with but don't weant to stay bogged down with it. I will revisit this again. I will focus on the fundamental courses after this. Thanks..
