Blender 3.4 download

Yes Shawn thank you. I really need to  have that option , ‘to save settings’…….  as  the splash screen appears when it’s first installed.

I tried to delete  and re install the 3.4 hoping it would allow me to use that option….but it doesn’t.

if you can provide the instructions…… [email protected]

or use this thread, that would be appreciated.

I will ask a friend who  is computer savvy  to read your notes and do this for me.

Hi Patty, there is a configuration file called "userpref.blend", for each of your installed Blender versions. Here it is explained where they are to be found on different Operating Systems:

    https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.6/advanced/blender_directory_layout.html

Locate where they are stored on your system, delete the 3.4 one and then copy the one from 3.1 to 3.4.

(I don't know anything about Wacom MSP, so I hope there is no essential difference there, but I don't expect that.)

This is how it looks on my Computer:

    Config.png

On the left the configuration directories of all the installed Blender versions and on the right inside the 3.1/config directory.

Yup Martin is correct. Read up on the link he provided to better understand this stuff too.

If you are on windows you can navigate to the following path. Just replace the "YOUR_USER_ACCOUNT" part with your windows user account.
    "C:\Users\YOUR_USER_ACCOUNT\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender"

OR! You can open the file explorer and type in
    %appdata%
and it will navigate you most of the way there to your 'roaming' folder. Then simply select Blender Foundation and then Blender.
Once there you should be able to see the saved versions of Blender available to copy files to/from.
Then you can copy files from one Blender version to another.
