I'm having this situation where my extruded door isn't showing in solid mode. I can only see it in wireframe mode.
It looks like it is to do with the mirror, You have geometry on the wrong side of the line of symmetry, which is being mirrored back across in front of your door.Delete the geometry to the left of the object origin.
