I just bought those addons.
I see tutorial with teacher having using those addons and it impress me seeing them using shortcuts. I already know the basic so I can now use those addons.
They are great tools but make sure you have an idea of what they are doing so that you can always fall back on your knowledge when they fail you.
I own these addons and love them.
I watched a full tutorial for boxcutter of 10 min. But it took me an hour and a half to practice on my second screen. There is also a 45 min tutorial for the Hops that I will also watch.
I own courses that spend hours using Hopscutter (both addons) and it's enough to make me spend weeks on the content. Blender Bros has some good content on usage of those tools. They are of course paid courses.
It's cool but I do not have much money. A 45 min video for hops is enough for now as I have to learn the basics and get good at it. Maybe I will watch later on for more advanced courses of that. By the way, do you have a link of your courses? And how much is this? thx
Hi Max,
If you Google Josh Gambrell (+hops), you'll find a lot of free content, for instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6mfFv_7jYo
He is one of the Blender Bros, btw. and also has some free Boxcutter tutorials.
And on blenderbros.com's homepage, you'll find a free hardsurface E-book.
It is exactly what I was listening to. He's really good. Those addons are simply necessary.
Yeah the Blender Bros consists of Josh Gambrell and Ponte Ryuu. Their YouTube channels contain tons of tutorials to use the tools for free. They advertise their paid content in their video descriptions and you can find it on Blender Market or on Gumroad.
