Cannot import the page as an asset

Hello. When I try to import the PAGE as instructed, it does not exist even though it was there when i saved it. I am only able to import the template.

I think it's the same problem someone was having here. See if this helps you:

That part worked fine, I mean the assets. So I open up the file 'ComicUSS_Template'. Open the user Library, save my file in that asset directory location as 'ComicUSS_Template'. Move my 'Comic US Standard Page' & 'Comic US Standard Template' into the new catalog, then save the file again. Then I open a new file 'startup.blend', delete everything, open the asset browser, but only the 'Comic US Standard Template' is found. The collection 'Comic US Standard Page' is missing. So i am not able to import it as an asset like he is doing in this video.

What version of blender are you using? Collection assets are in 3.2+.

Hey Nickolas! It may be defaulting to "Current File" - first, switch the Asset Browser to "User Library". Assuming you put your template in a defined Catalogue, and the .blend File is in a folder on your system where Blender is looking for Library Assets,it should show up

In your Blender Preferences, here is where User Library can be assigned

You can leave Blender's defaults, and add your own custom folders  - this way, you might organize specific .blend libraries however you wish, and just enable them for when you need them.

Make sure you pull out any collections/assets assigned into a catalogue before saving. They will first show up in the "unassigned" default catalogue.
