You don't need an addon anymore: Mask Extrude (or something really similar) is now native to Blender Sculpt Mode:

And remember, there's also the Lasso Trim brush which replaced another functionality in sculpting that was previously achieved with an addon, as in the "grease cut". Just in case you run into that. It was discussed here:
