Hi, I think I understand what deleting vertices, edges and faces mean.
When for example you delete edges, Blender will get rid of the edges, plus the faces these edges allowed to exist (i.e. their connected faces). Idem with the vertices, it will transitively delete the edges (and thus the faces) connected to them.
However I see some additional options, "only edges and faces" and "only faces". What is the difference in these options? I have checked out the Blender docs but the explanation is very short and muddy: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/modeling/meshes/editing/mesh/delete.html. I haven't been able to see the difference testing a bit in Blender.
Thank you in advance!
If you have everything selected in the Default Cube, for instance, the Deleting Only Edges and Faces, will leave you with only the 8 Vertices. (You need to be in Vertex Select mode to see them!)
Only Faces will leave the Vertices and their connecting Edges.
There are cases, where some options do the same thing; when you have only one Face selected, for instance, Deleting Faces does the exact same thing as Deleting Only Faces.
