I have been trying to subdivide two squares with a single line by selecting three lines. When I select the three line I get adjacent lines as well. What is happening and how can I get it to stop.

I also am having this problem. I tried to just copy all the settings from the video to try and solve it but I can't. Did you ever figure it out?

never mind, I'm still getting used to my laptop and was holding ctrl instead of shift hahaha
