Comment Notifications - Email

Question

Hi,

On the old platform I use to receive an email notification from CG Cookie informing me about a comment that was made on my project.

I've noticed as of late that "comment notifications" are not sent to my email. Not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this possible bug.

However, I do receive notifications on the following...

• If my comment was loved

• An individual starts to follow me

• CG Cookie Articles

Thank you for your time in reading.

Kind regards,

Bennie

I noticed too that it is really more difficult to notice interactions, makes it difficult to use

Whew...I thought that I was the only one.

    Hi bc_griffin,

You must get loads of emails!

    Everyone loves your work.

The notification settings are a little hidden now,

If you click the notification bell, then the settings cog, you should see this page 👇

    NotifiSettings.png

Or you can click the notifications tab from the dashboard for an alternate view of the notifications, where there is also a settings cog.

They should be the same as pre-migration, but there has been a few quirks.

    Hope this helps! 👍

    Hi @adrian2301,

You are too kind, thank you.

I trust that you are well and that your day has been a pleasant one so far.

Adrian, I have tried your method as suggested and the boxes all seems to be ticked as illustrated below.

It might be possible that I am part of the few quirks you mentioned.

Thank you for your kind and prompt response, Adrian. Always so kind and helpful.

    Kind regards,

    Bennie

    Thanks Bennie,

You are a true gentlemen, always so kind and considerate to everyone.

Have you tried turning them all off, clicking update, then turning them on again, then update again.

This might be enough to give it a kick.

Let me know and if no luck I will report this as a quirk.

    Thanks again my friend.

    You're most welcome, @adrian2301

Your suggested diagnosis has been noted and established.

Haha, let's hope it receives that kick, Dear Adrian.

Now it's a matter of waiting. Will update once I start to notice improvements.

Thank you again for your wisdom and assistance, Adrian.

Enjoy the remainder of this day!

    Kind regards,

    Bennie

    Hi @adrian2301,

I am sorry to inform you but the problem still persist even after I followed your diagnosis.

Just received a comment on a "staff picked" project of mine and no email notification was sent. Also no notification appears within CG Cookie.

Thank you again for your assistance, Adrian and so sorry for bothering you with this.

    Kind regards,

    Bennie

Same thing for me.  I have email options mostly unchecked, but site notifications are all on.  I remember comments and likes used to appear as notifications (on the bell icon), but they seem to be missing after the site migration.

No worries, but I just wanted to chime in that I'm having a similar issue, so you're not alone. :)

Hey everyone, apologies for the confusion. It does look like this functionality was not coded into the Project's plugin. I've made an internal note for us to discuss it. Agreed, it would be nice to know if a new comment was left on a gallery project.

Thanks for the continued support of the Cookie, and for helping make it better for all!
