Problem parenting my smoke emitter to my rocket

Question

I'm having a problem parenting my smoke emitter to my rocket. I made sure to select the emitter first and the rocket second and pressed control P and selected object but the emitter won't follow the rocket. and I made sure that I made all rocket parts into one. I'm using blender 2.90.1

Never mind I figured it out I selected the rocket first and the smoke emitter second.(Edited never mind it is select the emitter first and the rocket second I must have just did something wrong the first time.)
