Clouds not displaying properly.

posted to: Cirrus Clouds

Hi Kent another great tutorial. As I was following along right after appending the cloud and applying the material to my cirrus clouds I get this.

Clouds aren't displaying properly, if I start zooming out the clouds disappear altogether. If I zoom in then I get a really dense cloud formation within my scene. Did I make a mistake somewhere?

    Hi Kent another great tutorial

    Thanks knightwolf!

So this material hasn't been modified into the cirrus version yet, right? It's the material from the simple cloud (1st video in the course)?

It's probably best if I take a look at your scene. If you post a download link to your .blend file I can do this. The best way is by uploading your file to Dropbox, Google Drive, Mega, or equivalent file hosting service then copy + pasting the share link here.

Apologies for the delayed reply - thanks for providing your .blend file!

To solve the disappearance problem, go to your Eevee volumetric render settings and change the End (clip) value from 100 to 1000. Generally you just need a value greater than 100 since that's the distance it starts clipping / ignoring the volumetric calculation:
