The Lord of Refuse alias "René le déchet" Final

7 loves

A very long time ago, he was a human being, but even he can't remember. He took part in all the wars, all the horrors, and when his end came, even hell didn't want him.

  • Holy moly! It gave me chills. Then I read your description and got the chills again. Incredible work!
The attention to details on his lips, on his pin, on the fibers of his clothing... you did not leave anything to chance and it shows.

I'm not sure how things get a staff pick or not, but if voting has any influence I'm casting mine!

The rim lighting on the 4th render: chefs kiss!

A thousand thanks Nathi, you've cheered me up. I must have made some technical mistakes, but I don't see them anymore.
For the fabric, I used: “simply matérial” because it's too difficult and it's a crazy thing. (and I have to be too) It's a great addon.(Blender Market)

In fact, I don't speak a word of English, so what does “chefs kiss” mean? You'll enrich my poor English.

I'm glad to have heard from you.

That's a 10 out of 10 Claire, awesome result and cool story. Love the lighting and setting in the second render, it's like the intro shot from when the Devil cast him out of hell. He barely opened a door enough to look through the gap and saw that figure shrouded in darkness and he's like "Oh man, I don't want that guy here, Jesus wont have him either, send him back to earth and make him immortal, problem solved."

Merci Beaucoup Omar. In fact, as soon as the devil caught sight of him, he figured this creature could easily take his place. The devil was afraid of losing his Job.

  • That is one creepy character. Stunning work, Claire. Also very nice composition on all those shots. The close-up is my favourite.
