This is a modified version of my submission for the "LightShape Hallway" sessions exercise.
I was not satisfied with my submission, i thought something was missing. Upon reflection, the red light at the end felt too flat.
I replaced the 3 area lights by an emissive plane, with a spherical gradient, divided in 3 parts. Now the center feels more "hot" (whiter), which i think is better.
I originaly named my submission the "Kinda Satanic Hallway", but Omar remarked that it had a Kylo Ren vibe (which is even more true in the modified version), hence the name change :).
Also, this tutorial is a great example on how using the compositor can greatly enhance an render, look at how ugly the result is without composition ! (image 2).
Which version do you prefer ?
Image 1 : new version, composited
Image 2 : new version, raw
Image 3 : old version
I go with Image 1, new version composited.
The new version is worthy of Darth Vader himself, not just Kylo Ren.😉😁
