My first completed portrait after going through Kent's incredible Humans course. I know I messed up some of the sculpting, especially around the eyes. At the time I was having a lot of trouble with backfaces coming through the front faces and was struggling to sort this out and was also very keen to get into the detailing phase, so called it a day and moved on. Definately detracts from the likeness, so I will be much more careful with that in the future. Also the colthing was rushed, and all the hair needs work. But other than that, I am so pleased with how this has panned out. I never thought I would be able to create something that to my eye at least, looks so lifelike. Thanks Kent. I will be doing the whole course again, hopefully with a little more patience. Just gotta decide who to model next...
Excellent! Totally recognizable as Captain Picard. At least to us Star Trek fans.
I does look like you have lost some of the detail from the detailing image and the final.
Around the eyes in particular seem to be lacking definition, and the corner of the eyes should match the shape of the eyeball.
Great for a first try, as they say 'practise, practise, practise'.
Very cool, I recognized immediately it was Captain Picard. Took me a second when you mentioned the hair needs work, then I was like oh the eyebrows Lol
All in all it looks cool. Keep on practicing and practicing and you'll be doing mind blowing stuff in no time.
