Experiment with mixing an originally-pencil-and-paper character into a 3D scene.
Still figuring out the specifics, as there are artifacts present, and the Grease Pencil is really better for this anyway (if only I had steadier hands with a stylus...).
pprocyonlotor Actually, this was done with 2.79, and the character was drawn in an external app and added in a mostly-transparent polygon rigged to always face the camera.
2.8 with the grease pencil would yield better looking results, though, I am sure!

I notice as character walks across the dirt the feet are slighty above the shadows making it appear as if walking on air...
