Obviously the crucial part in designing a keyframe. Trying to stay in the middle, about 4-6 pieces per idea. The main problems are values and positioning. Another mantra is to always use the simplest and impactful composition.

Small gestures helped a lot to design flexible pose
This is great. I like the limited palette and the graphic design of the boat and the sailors. Creature design is cool too.

That looks amazing. The only thing I think you could improve is the two guys, they could look more realistic.
