With all the recent hype around Filmic Blender I thought it's time for me to try it too. I took the model from my "MicroMachines", made it a little more "toyish", remade the materials and here it is.

For the materials I must thank Cynicat, they're mostly based on his techniques. I did play with the color, but I'm planning to make two more renders with the remaining cars from the original render (and they are bright red and blue already, so I sticked with original dark grey color).
Actually my goal is to try different renderers (Yafaray, LuxRender).
