This is the first thing I’ve made in Blender. Its for the Architecture Academy, i.e based on tutorials, so I can’t take much credit ? But if you have thoughts about the materials, the colour scheme, the mood, etc.. please just fire away!

I agree on the window frames, will look into it. The ceiling texture is what I spent most time on, and I'm still not happy with the way it reflects the light.. I'm thinking that it should be a matte concrete instead of the trying-to-be semi-glossy..

I am thinking they don't have a dog... or kids. As upscale as everything is I think the ceiling is out of place. Well done. I agree about the window doors. And a croissant lamp wouldn't be my first choice. All in all a great first project. The ceiling texture is the only thing I couldn't live with. Oh, and what are all the rectangular things strewn about... Books. Oh yea I remember now. It really is nice. All said with a smile. ;) Great first effort.
