Modeling is done by blocking out the main shape, then sculpting and then decimating quite a bit to get those sharp edges. After that I work on materials by trying to stay as faithful as I can to my references.
Easy turntable is to throw it up on sketchfab. Please outline your approach on the modeling and materials. Great results. I think we could all learn something here.
Wow I love it, I cant wait untill I get to your sort of level. You never cease to amaze me :) . Well done on the piece that CC did on you, it was an interesting read and very inspiring.
The turntable shows it well. So the inclusions are generated procedurally? Cycles can work wondrous results on crystal. Thank you for posting.
Thanks! This is all procedural so it wouldn't work on Sketchfab.

Thank you! I want to work on it some more before I render a turntable. This is only my 3rd attempt at making a crystal. :)
True excellence! I would like to see this rendered as a turntable with a variety of light conditions.
Your material and texture work is impeccable!
Thanks! I will continue working on it. :)
Saw this while I was passing by the homepage. Looks great! It looks just like a photograph of the real thing.
Thank you very much! Feels great to have your support. :)
