I wanted to depict it as a bigger mass, as the upper part has more impact from the weather (the fur more "fluffy" there because of the breeze/air, the lower part more used as it has been touched by hand more often, more rugged), that was in my mind. I admit I was struggled with that area, I can agree with you. Well we learn through error as well :)))
Wow! Your textures are incredible! I particularly like the detail of the snow on the fur and his beard. The only criticism I really have (and it is really very minor) is that the fur on the coat that is lighter brown, in the lower middle of your composition, doesn't seem to be given the same level of detail that the hair and fur textures of the rest of your composition have.
