Shroom nr. 1 WIP Final

This is low poly model of game character of upcoming action mini game. Modeling done in Blender, materials in Substance painter and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2. It sure needs adjustments and I will be happy for any comment.

    Regarding materials - I am unable to get it from substance painter correctly into Marmoset or anywhere else, especially specularity is problem. As you can see, body has some specularity, but in painter, it is completely matte.

    I don't like it very much, when I look at it now, not only proportions, but material is really weird, you are right. Thanks for help!

  • Hi i just have a few comments about your work.

    1.- it looks alike a character of a short animation that its develop by chaman studios on mexico http://www.chamananimation.com/galeria.html.

    2.- if its a low poly character probably showing your wireframe could give us a better idea in which parts you can make some adjustments.

    3.- take a look at references of mushrooms maybe that can help you with the head, the mouth and foots, try to reduce more the noise that create some kind of whit paint on the body an so on the bottom part of the mushroom. go ahead and play with the specular on the foots too!, work more on the proportions it feels weird.
