I've just finished my newest project: "WHISKEY MOON". It may surprise some that I take up such a topic. But I am a dry alcoholic myself and can look back on more than 30 years free of alcohol and drugs.
I was inspired by Maria Daines' very strong song "Whiskey Moon", hence the name.
Drugs are not a joke, they shouldn't be played down. And when I observe that almost every film that was shot by German public television companies is smoking weed, then I find that extremely critical. Even if that is supposed to be a real mirror of our real social situation - which is unfortunately correct.
In my early years I was allowed to work as a voluntary helper in search aid projects, I was allowed to train as a group leader and search patient helper and was able to do an outpatient therapy again in 2010/11. Between 1986 and today I have come across situations again and again in which fellow human beings were confronted with problems that arise from excessive alcohol or drug consumption, family, professional, private. Be it beaten or raped (married) women, be it that a dismissal for alcohol was pending at work or that life was at stake.
