This is my (mostly) first Concept Cookie submission.. huzzah! .. and really, my first effortful completed photoshop sketching/painting.. lots of effort. Plus, I can't remember ever drawing a bald guy before. This is inspired from a random picture in my head of a bearded sailor on an 1700s sailing frigate.
Tremendous learning here. I haven't had so much fun drawing in years.
Alan Lee - Illustrator and concept artist, was one of the 2 lead concept artists on the 6 Peter Jackson Hobbit & Lord of the Rings movies
Akira Toriyama - Known for his art in Dragon Ball, DBZ, and my personal exposure is his character art style from Dragon Quest 8 on Playstation 2 (a fav game of mine).
Alex Horley Orlandelli - A relatively new artist in my head, but a big name in game design, and so much else. I discovered him after playing Hearthstone, and looking up many of the artists for the card artwork.
