With this prompt, I was particularly inspired by the historical War of the Roses, but I still wanted to go the high fantasy route. Her armor itself is directly inspired by rose, in particular the contours of leaves and the overlapping of petals.
Story wise, I imagine this being the moment she sets out from her castle home. In an effort to keep her people and her guard out of harms way, she asserts her right to rule alone.
