This is my first "serious" attempt at using digital art, and it is my first completed art image (not practice) in photoshop. I watched the Female Character series several times, as well as shading hair. I also practiced the shading white and black series before jumping into this. It took me way too long, but I really like the result. I sketched it in my book and also took a photo of it with my phone and used it as a base. I initially used it as a multiply layer, but painted over it all by the end. At the every end, I did use a scale pattern brush to add some detail. Not sure how I feel about it particularly, but I like the final result all the same. Maybe I'm just glad to be done. :)
