Procedural Chainlink Fence Final

After watching the BCITY Tutorial, i told myself i would do a "little" project by myself and have some fun, prior to doing the exercises...

Well, several weeks later (😅), here i am, with a entirely procedural fence. It's not completely "realistic", in the sense that the tension wires / tensions bars are not linked with the posts. The only "link" is made by braces joining the rails and the "corner posts", and by the rails going through the "small posts".

In order to pursue other projects, i call this one done, and stop OCDing :).

Other limitations include : no "knots" at the top and bottom of the mesh, normals of intermediate posts are ugly if the option "Activate boolean holes in posts" is on "Yes". Works only on a flat surface.

I am pretty happy with the choice menu for the Rails / Wires, and material Options though. You can either choose the "premade" material packs "Metallic" or "Green Coat", or choose "Custom" and pick a material for each part of the fence.

Another interesting challenge was to make the procedural braces, aligned with each section of the fence.

If you want the blend file to use the fence in your project, or improve it, feel free to message me.
