I have been working on Blender for a month now. I made this tank in 5 days to see what I have learned in a month. I will not be continuing with the tank since my CEO s want me to make other heavy military vehicles in Blender now.
With the tank I especially experimented with lights and focusing. The last thing I wanted to do was make the tank look like a micro machine (That's why I rendered an image from the bottom so that it looks bigger). I think for one of my first models it came out okay.
I wanted to make the tank tracks (chains below the wheels) to look realistic as well as be able to animate it after it was done. The whole tank was modeled after the South African tank (Olifant), which is a main battle tank to be replaced soon.
