This was a cute practice run of something I did years ago, ripped (literally) out of a Crate & Barrel catalog and just taken from page to screen.
Blender and Cycles render. Although BI render looks almost exactly the same due to ray shadow.
Also, yes, the furniture in the catalog was that ugly. Couch probably went for like $2K+.
