This time around I'm working on making the balloons seen in the manga & anime Made in Abyss. (if you have not seen that series, check it out. Its really good.) In the series, the balloons are used to send messages to the surface such as letters, medicine, and misc provisions.
If all goes well, I'm hoping to learn lots more on texturing and later rigging along with physics.
Current status: WIP.
To do:
- Find a way to make the patches look less playdough.
- Find a way to add more detail to the balloons either procedural or texture to add grunge.
- Plan on rigging so cargo can dangle as balloon moves upwards.
- keep organized.
Stuff i'm chewing on:
- Differences between join object and parent object.
- Figuring out how to paint using a texture.
