my fourth portrait in the series is the physicist gerd binnig, who won the nobelprize, together with ernst ruska and heinrich rohrer, for the construction of the scanning tunneling microscope. sculpted in blender, with a little help of zbrush, inspired by the rocky formation exercise of kent trammell.
