The exercise for this piece was to create a humanoid alien by compositing various photos together. I used octopus, squid, blob fish, an old woman (for hands), various fabric textures, meal grub, tarot cards, wood textures, signs in languages I cannot read, and candles.
It's an older piece, but I went back recently and retouched it (Original can be found here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/Fortune-Fish/15552759).
I darkened up some places, made shadows more dramatic, added a burn effect around the candles, and tried to add depth to the wooden pillars.
I still want to keep working on this pieces, but for the moment she's looking good.
