Spring Contest 2013 Character Concept
I tried to convey the feeling of an unknown entity wandering within a desert like setting whilst a dense cloud of dust and battering winds engulf it. Naturally such a setting would prove to be confusing if one were under such physically and mentally challenging circumstances - Therefore I wanted to convey that despite a seeming lack of immediately visible direction there is always a path one can take to complete or continue hers or his journey. As such, while looking upwards into the far distances above, the sky becomes clearer to symbolize exactly that.
