eating utensils Final

Just some eating utensils rendered in cycles. Actually i do not consider this finished but i wanted to ask if the degree of grain is somehow reasonable with 1500 samples. (there's also some minor DOF) The "only" light source is an hdri map. i know that you get a lot of grain with multiple light sources. i'm assuming hdri maps kind of causes similar problems. recently i read an "importance sampling" post on blendernation. is there a chance to improve performance or is this just the state of developement so far? Thanks in advance.
