Since I'm lately taking the trip down memory lane I figured: why not? It was tough to find an early drawing of mine that I actually wánted to re-draw, cause my interests have also changed over the years :P But I decided to go with my very first design of Ares, since I can still remember vividly how I was sketching this in the car one day and how proud I was of it when it was done. It was the start of the Greek-God-era of my life and I guess that's stuck on me ever since. I still think Ares is a fascinating character. SO! I re-did the very first Ares drawing I ever made, and I had a lot of fun doing it! I spent about a week drawing this in Photoshop CS5, probably about 8 hours total. It seems like a lot for something as sketchy and basic as this, but I spent a lot of time perfecting little things like the mouth, the foot and the creases in his clothing. I'll just leave this here then. On to the next challenge! :)
