My idea for Cupid's darker side isn't about his arrow's initial strike, but rather its slow bleed as one falls out of love again. Trailing this blood spoor, Cupid poses with his latest kill like a bow hunter and a buck who's at last given in to the grinding, tearing arrow stuck somewhere deep between its shoulder blades.
