After falling from grace Cupid was stripped of this wings. This drove him off the deep end and he strung his wings back again but this time for pay back. Seeing that he lost his arrows he devised using technology instead and guides them true without the help of his previous powers. This is especially helpful since his self image went down the tubes and has a hard time getting around these days. He also thinks that somehow collecting his victims hearts is a step in the right direction.
