This was my first ever Blender project after I had followed the basic tutorials from Neil Hirsig.
As a first go, it was mainly about the modelling, not textures, lighting, composition, etc. The wood was my attempt at a procedural texture using Blender's built-in stuff.
This was around May 2011, long before Cycles was included, so it's the basic internal renderer and no special settings (I hadn't found them at that stage).
