Whether a creature or a plant is still under much debate It is unknown how they came to be, or how they reproduce. But what is known is that they all start as small saplings, attracting their prey with a sweet scent and beautiful but deadly flowers. When their prey gets near enough, the pollen found in the flower makes short work of their nervous system in no time, providing this 'bonsai creature' the needed nutrients for a fantastic growth spurt. Peculiarly, the skull on top of these plant/creatures are not their 'heads' as most people would think, but the skull of their first prey as a sapling.
A grotesque trophy? a sign to predators? As stated above, not much is known, since most give them a wide berth lest they fall prey to the poison miasma surrounding them.
