This was inspired by a B&W photo on Shorpy.com. This depicts a kitchen on the Canadian prairie from about 100 years ago. Ya, I know the bread is straight out of Andrew's tutorial on bread making...but it's Irish Soda Bread, and my own grandmother used to make it in her kitchen in a cast iron skillet, so I wanted to include it as a tribute to her memory.
Textures are from CG textures. The grunge on the walls, floor and stove (courtesy using a coal stove) were done in GIMP, as it was a bit easier to control there than in Blender. As well, a bit of blurring, and minor brightness and contrast correction were also done in GIMP.
