Done for Exercise 31. Photoshop CS6 and Wacom. Again I needed aprox 3h from reference-hunting to finish. Though I lost my patience with the scale-rendering and it still is a bit rough.
Thing is, I realy want to do all 9 features of the exercise and 3hours is the most I can spend on one picture ... so, ship it and on to the next one.
What I learnt about alligator-feeds?
- hard edges
- many many scales and your halfway done with the job
- scales cast hard shadows
- claws are reflectiv
- scales can be very smooth and reflectiv (if scales are wet or alligator is still young), but can be rough, scratched an unreflectiv.Doesnt matter as much as I thought it would.
