Using Blender 2.63, I followed the Soccer Ball tutorial and it seemed easy enough and it was....well the modelling was. I attempted to get a surface and shadowing projected onto that surface but it would not work for some reason.
Still have no idea on how to use materials and lighting (Apart from putting a light in and changing the colours of objects). For the moment I settled with my attempt at a sky for a background......
