    My next upgrade is going to be a little pricey. I will need a new CPU, but in my case that means a new board and new RAM too all at the same time. And RAM is insanely expensive these days, no idea why.

    tbrbn My experience with Linux has been a realization for what I take for granted in an OS. Linux is super hands-on imo. Certainly a lot of info (almost too much) in forums but the hyper-splintered nature of linux distros makes my head spin.

    @theluthier I've gotten by on a gtx 670 for rendering, CPU is a bit hefty because I was using Maya back in the day when it didn't support CPU rendering, so that's an i7. I've upgraded to a 1070 because it was on sale and I gave my old graphics card away lol.
