No Question; Instead of helper edges, i find usage of Offset edges + looptools (bridge) a lot faster

Just enable the integrated addons "Mesh: Edit Tools 2" & "Mesh: Looptools". While you're at it, Tiny CAD has also some interesting features for edge management.
